An ice cream store, a barber store, a diner, and a health studio. 

These are a few of the latest additions coming quickly to the historic Waterfront Warehouse —house to Nena’s Mexican Delicacies, this newspaper, and the Larger Stockton Chamber of Commerce.

Peke’s Ice Cream

Peke’s Ice Cream is the latest and sweetest addition to the constructing.  

The family-owned enterprise run by Ricardo De La Cruz Prado, 44, and Andrea De La Cruz, 42, opened its doorways on Jan. 28 at 445 W Weber Ave Suite 142. 

The couple, impressed by their Mexican heritage, began their enterprise promoting home-made ice cream and paletas (Popsicles) at parks. The couple’s households each owned companies in Mexico which influenced their enterprise enterprise.

De La Cruz, mentioned her husband’s father was a “paletero” or an ice cream man again in México and her household has labored in “abarrotes”or grocery shops for a few years.

They moved from parks to their first ice cream store simply six years in the past, the place they opened at 7760 C. Brentwood Blvd., in Brentwood. They wished to increase their model and opened their second location in Stockton, an even bigger metropolis with a bigger Latino neighborhood, she mentioned.
